NWFP Relief Commissioner Fazal-e-Rabi on Friday said that about 1,50,000 affected people have been accommodated in tented village set up by the government. Speaking in a PTV programme, he said people living in the tented villages have been provided all kinds of facilities.

He said tented schools and field hospitals were providing best services to the quake victims. To a question he said about 12,000 schools were affected due to October 8 earthquake. "Educational activities in most of schools have been restored," he added.

He expressed the hope that remaining schools would be opened after winter vacations in the province. He said thousands of people were affected by the October 8 earthquake. The commissioner also paid tribute to the Pak army personnel for their restless efforts in rescue, reconstruction and rehabilitation work.

To a question he said presently about 15,000 tents were with the NWFP government.
